TL;DR
After nearly 15 years of helping small business owners navigate their websites and systems, we’ve evolved our approach from one-off projects to true partnerships. Our new Vision-driven process—Discovery Call → Vision Session → Vision Launch → Ongoing Partnership—ensures you get more than just a website. You get strategic marketing guidance, technical expertise, and long-term support from a team that acts as your CMO, CTO, Art Director, and Copywriter combined. This isn’t about transactions; it’s about becoming your biggest cheerleaders and partners in growth.

The Journey to Website Partnership: Years of Learning
After almost 15 years in business helping small business owners like you get a handle on their website and the systems that go along with it, we’ve learned a lot!
Although the solutions that each business needs are definitely NOT one-size-fits-all, I’ve found that the process we’ve created—and are now formally launching—has really helped us serve every business owner, no matter what stage they’re in.
The Process Wasn’t Easy to Develop
This process didn’t come easily. It’s taken years of thought, reading, research, and reflection. It required us to dig deep into what we do, how we do it, and why we sometimes felt overwhelmed and burned out—even when we should have been celebrating our accomplishments.
Why We’re Changing How We Work
The Realization: You Can’t Help Everyone with Everything
The world around us isn’t easy to understand right now. Honestly, it’s been challenging for me personally. I’ve been really wrestling with my values—my belief that everyone is valuable, should be treated with dignity and respect, and that judging others isn’t our job—and where the country is in this moment.
As someone who wants to help everyone, all the time, even at my own risk, I’ve had to face a hard truth: I can’t help everyone with everything. And that realization has been painful, but it’s also helped me realize what I can do, and how I can do it.
The Cost of Undervaluing Our Expertise
In trying to help everyone, we sometimes priced our value too low. Sometimes, as things got added to the project, we just kept delivering, without identifying the scope creep, and we felt the exhaustion. Sometimes, it drained all the energy out of us.
But here’s what I’ve learned: What Nic and I provide is genuinely valuable.
What Makes Us Different: More Than Just Website Designers
We’re Your Full Marketing and Technology Team
I’m not just a website designer. I’m a marketer too. I understand branding—both design and voice—and how that plays into your website and your overall marketing strategy. I also understand the technical side: what the code needs to say, how to test user experience, what questions to ask, and how to translate it all into plain English for you.
Nic takes the technical side even further. He knows how to analyze your systems, saving you both time and money, and can provide automations within your business that you might not have even thought of.
Together, we’re kind of like hiring a CMO, CTO, Art Director, and Copywriter all-in-one. But until now, we haven’t done a good job of explaining that or packaging it for our clients.
Introducing Our Vision-Driven Process
We’ve changed how we work with our small business clients in Maine and beyond, to better reflect the true value we provide. Here’s how our website partnership approach works:
Step 1: Discovery Call
We start every project with a Discovery Call, where we learn about each other and see if we’re the right fit. This is about connection and alignment—not just checking boxes.
Step 2: Vision Session
From there, your project moves to a Vision Session. In this session, we really dig into your business to understand it: How it works, what your pain points are, what you’ve tried, what you want to do, and more.
Although it’s about your website, it’s really about so much more. It’s about your VISION—where you see your amazing business moving toward, and how we can help you get there.
Step 3: Vision Blueprint
After the Vision Session, we’ll provide you with a Vision Blueprint that lays out exactly what our next steps are to launch your vision. If it sounds good to you, you’ll schedule a dedicated week on our calendar for your Vision Launch.
Step 4: Vision Launch Week
You’re Vision Launch is when all the “magic” happens. We’ll work together throughout that week to finalize all your branding, technology, marketing and website so you can launch your vision to the world. After that week, you’ll have all the pieces you need to keep moving the needle forward and sharing your small business with others..
Step 5: Ongoing Partnership
PLUS, you’ll have our website partnership there for when you need us. To answer your questions, make updates, and provide tips along the way. You have the ongoing support that keeps your business moving forward.
Why Website Partnership Matters More Than Ever
We’ve Relied on Relationships, Not Marketing
Ironically, I know exactly what I need to do to market my own business. But, like the shoemaker’s kids have no shoes, we’ve had no marketing.
We’ve been bad at keeping up an email list, posting to social media and going to networking events. Instead, we’ve relied on our past clients to send us leads—which they have, and continue to do. For that, we thank them profusely, because without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today!
That loyalty speaks volumes. Our clients don’t just recommend us because we built them a website. They recommend us because we became their partners.
A New “Name”, Same Commitment
This new format has a different name, but it’s still Nic and I as your small business website partners, creating value, solving problems, and becoming your biggest cheerleaders.

FAQs: Our Vision-Driven Website Partnership Approach
What’s the difference between your Vision-driven process and a traditional website project?
Traditional website projects are often transactional—you get a website and then you’re on your own. Our Vision-driven process is designed as a true partnership. We start with a Discovery Call to ensure we’re the right fit, move into a deep-dive Vision Session to understand your business goals, create a comprehensive Vision Blueprint, dedicate a full week to your Vision Launch, and then continue supporting you with ongoing partnership. You’re not just getting a website; you’re getting strategic marketing guidance, technical expertise, and long-term support from a team that functions as your CMO, CTO, Art Director, and Copywriter combined.
What happens during the Vision Session?
The Vision Session is where we dig deep into your business to truly understand how it works, what your pain points are, what you’ve tried before, and where you want to go. While it’s connected to your website needs, it’s really about much more—it’s about your overall VISION for where you see your business heading and how we can help you get there. This isn’t a surface-level conversation; it’s a comprehensive exploration of your business, branding, and growth goals.
What is a Vision Launch Week?
Your Vision Launch Week is a dedicated week on our calendar where all the u0022magicu0022 happens. During this intensive week, we work together to finalize all your branding, technology, and marketing elements so you can launch your vision to the world. By the end of that week, you’ll have all the pieces you need to keep moving forward—not just a website, but a complete foundation for your business’s online presence.
What kind of ongoing support do you provide after the launch?
After your Vision Launch, we don’t disappear. Our ongoing partnership means we’re there when you need us—to answer questions, make updates, and provide tips along the way. As your business continues to evolve and grow, and we’ll be right there with you as your website partners, not just vendors you have to hunt down when something breaks.
How do I know if we’re the right fit to work together?
That’s exactly what the Discovery Call is for! We start every potential partnership with a conversation to learn about each other and see if we align. This isn’t about checking boxes or meeting arbitrary criteria—it’s about connection and making sure we’re the right partners for your business journey. If you’re a purpose-driven small business owner who values partnership over transactions and wants strategic guidance alongside technical expertise, we’d love to talk with you.
